All Hail the Pant Leg Man

shirt (obviously from the Pant Leg Man, but this one is very similar). shorts. sneakers. sunglasses.

I post about this shirt a lot, but I think it’s important that I give some context as to how it came into my life.

As you (hopefully) know by now, my parents and I are huge metal fans, especially my dad. About two years ago, we went to a Judas Priest concert at Nassau Coliseum. We were actually supposed to see them again at the Coliseum in September, but it got canceled. Not because of COVID, but because the venue is closing, which makes me super sad. I grew up going to concerts there.

But I digress. As we were leaving, there were the usual men standing outside selling Judas Priest tees, and my dad decided to buy me one. The man asked what size I wanted, and when I told him, he rolled up his pant legs, where various tees were hidden. He literally took it out of his pants. I bought a T-shirt from a man’s pants.

I think about that Pant Leg Man a lot. Without him, I wouldn’t have gotten one of my favorite shirts. One of my friends actually has a very similar shirt that he bought “officially,” and it’s fading and ripping. My shirt is doing just fine.

That just goes to show you, always believe in the Pant Leg Man.

Hello hello! I hope your week is going well. It’s almost the weekend!

Today, I’m wearing this awesome Judas Priest shirt and my black denim shorts. As most of you may already know, my dad raised me on heavy metal, and Judas Priest has always been one of his favorites. So, he got us all tickets to see them when they came to Long Island! We had floor seats, and it was legendary. They’re awesome.

I bought this shirt outside the venue. A man pulled it out of his pant leg. It’s lit.

Last but not least, I wore my black Converse, wood sunglasses, and Killer Queen by Katy Perry. I went makeupless as usual these days, and let my hair go natural. I love when it’s wavy but not frizzy, like this!

Are you a fan of any metal bands? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Thursday! Or as I like to call it, Friday Jr. I used to hate Thursdays because I thought they were a tease. You’re almost to the weekend, but not quite there yet. But back when I was in school, I didn’t have class on Fridays, so my weekends began when I got out of class on Thursdays at 5:45pm, which made Thursdays a lot more fun.

Here’s one of my new favorite looks that I’m so pumped to share with you all. I don’t know if I’ve ever talked about it here, but my dad raised me on heavy metal, so while it may not look like it, I really appreciate bands like Judas Priest, Dio, and, of course, Black Sabbath. My dad found this awesome hockey jersey, and he bought it for me because he’s one of the most amazing humans on this planet. You can’t see the back, but instead of a name it says “The End,” and the jersey number is 666. This is probably one of the coolest things I own.

I finished off the look with the usual: leggings and black boots. I left my hair a little messy, and put on my dark lipstick to match the Sabbath vibe. I tend to highlight cool pieces like these by keeping everything else in the look relatively simple. I think if I did anything more it would be a bit overboard.

Later, I went to Chipotle, and the guy making my bowl told me that I looked like a Wiccan. I said, “Thanks! Can I have brown rice?” I’ll take it as a compliment! What’s your favorite metal band? Let me know in the comments!
